Romania is present at the Frankfurt International Book Fair, taking place from October 15-19, a major event that attracts over 250,000 visitors from around the world. The Minister of Culture, András Demeter, inaugurated Romania's stand, discussing with editors and authors about promoting Romanian literature and collaboration in the European publishing field.
The national stand, covering an area of 80 square meters, hosts public readings, literary dialogues, and round tables, facilitating meetings between editors, translators, and authors from Central and Eastern Europe. Among the guests of the Ministry of Culture are writers and translators participating in various events, including a round table dedicated to editors from Ukraine.
Additionally, POP Publishing organizes readings and book presentations for renowned Romanian authors. The opening of the stand was marked by an informal moment, 'Happy Hour at Romania's stand', organized in partnership with the Romanian Publishers Association.
