A love letter written by John Lennon to his first wife, Cynthia Powell, will be sold at Christie's auction, with an estimated price of €30,000 to €40,000

The letter, written in April 1962, will be auctioned on July 9 in London. Lennon, then 21, expresses his longing for Cynthia and shares his thoughts about his fellow Beatles. He also mentions the death of his friend, Stuart Sutcliffe, and shows his disapproval of Cynthia's plans to live with McCartney's girlfriend. Lennon and Cynthia married in 1962, but separated in 1968.
