The Romania-Italy Cultural Year 2026 program will be inaugurated on December 1 with a gala concert at the Teatro dell’Opera di Roma, organized by the National Opera of Bucharest, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Ministry of Culture of Romania. The event will feature soprano Anita Hartig, mezzo-soprano Ruxandra Donose, and tenor Ștefan Pop, accompanied by the National Opera of Bucharest Orchestra, conducted by Daniel Jinga. Romania's Ambassador, Gabriela Dancău, emphasized the importance of opening the cultural year on the National Day of Romania, highlighting the cultural ties between the two countries. The program will include art exhibitions, film screenings, and theater performances aimed at celebrating the shared heritage. The concert will present works from the Italian and Romanian repertoire, providing a platform for future artistic collaborations. On December 3, another event will take place at La Scala Opera in Milan, featuring recitals by soloists from the National Opera of Bucharest.
