András István Demeter declared on Monday, May 18, in Iași, that the authorities could reach a final decision regarding the new headquarters of the Romanian National Opera in Iași by the end of summer. The project, estimated at approximately 80 million euros, will be carried out in the Copou area, on a plot of nearly one hectare, officially transferred to the administration of the institution through a Government Decision.

Funding is provided through an agreement with the Council of Europe Development Bank. Demeter emphasized the importance of establishing concrete steps in this process, mentioning that all involved parties have come together to discuss the project. He expressed the desire to advance quickly and transparently, in order to provide a clear timeline of progress.
