The nominations, announced on January 27, include the thriller 'One Battle After Another', with 14 nominations, followed by the horror film 'Sinners' with 13 nominations. The historical drama 'Hamnet' and the comedy-drama 'Marty Supreme' each have 11 nominations. 'Hamnet' is the most nominated film directed by a woman, while 'Sinners' is the most nominated film directed by a person of color. The five films nominated for Best Film are: 'Hamnet', 'One Battle After Another', 'Sinners', 'Marty Supreme', and 'Sentimental Value'. In the Best Director category, nominees include Paul Thomas Anderson, Ryan Coogler, Josh Safdie, Joachim Trier, Chloe Zhao, and Yorgos Lanthimos. Nominations for Best Actor include names like Leonardo DiCaprio and Timothee Chalamet, while the Best Actress category features Jessie Buckley and Emma Stone. The BAFTA Awards 2025 will recognize excellence in cinematography, and the big winners this year are 'Conclave' and 'The Brutalist', each winning four awards.
