PSD Mayor Rareș Hopincă has decided to restructure the Local Police in Sector 2, cutting 68 positions, mainly among the heads of services, but offering alternative jobs in the city hall. Of those affected, 38 accepted their new positions, while the rest chose to leave. Hopincă emphasizes the importance of the local police in ensuring community safety and intends to transform the institution into an effective partner of citizens by reducing management posts and increasing the presence of police officers in the field.
