The business sector, represented by the Concordia employers' confederation, is contesting the tax measures announced by Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan, saying they impose an excessive burden on the private sector and citizens. VAT and dividend tax increases, as well as higher excise duties, will affect the purchasing power and competitiveness of the economy. Concordia calls for prior consultations with employers' organizations and an impact assessment of these measures, advocating for balanced reforms that do not affect Romania's economic future.
