The White House has announced the formation of a federal task force for the 2028 Summer Olympics, with the involvement of President Trump, who has been an active supporter of the bid since 2017. LA28 committee chairman Casey Wasserman praised the support, but Trump's involvement could escalate tensions with California authorities, recently affected by ICE raids. The 2028 Games will be held in Los Angeles, marking the third edition hosted by the city.
