Despite the fears of Israeli journalists regarding the exclusion of football teams from international competitions, UEFA announced that it will not take measures against Israel. Although several countries, including Spain, have threatened boycotts, UEFA has decided to maintain the status of Israeli teams unchanged. The USA, under the leadership of Donald Trump, promised continued support for Israel, committing to stop any attempt to exclude the national team from the path to the 2026 World Cup.
