The champion U BT Cluj has reached an agreement with Kristian Kullamäe, a guard who will play for the Cluj team in the upcoming season, following his transfer from Lietkabelis Panevėžys. Born on May 25, 1999, in Tallinn, Estonia, Kullamäe measures 194 cm and plays both as a point guard and shooting guard, having the profile of a "combo guard".
Kristian Kullamäe is the eighth player transferred by U-Banca Transilvania for the 2026-2027 season, after Bobe Nicolescu, Otis Livingston II, Jalyn McCreary, Dušan Beslać, Malcolm Hill, Javon Bess, and Uroš Plavšić.
"He is a player who knows how to play, first and foremost. He is an intelligent player who can be used both as a point guard and as a shooting guard. He has a very good long-range shot, I know him well, I have followed him in recent years and he is still a young player who can grow a lot. Obviously, as with any other player, we also looked a lot at his character, and Kristian is compatible with what we want. I am glad that he chose to be with us and I hope we will have success together," said Mihai Silvăşan, head coach of U-Banca Transilvania.
