U-BT Cluj-Napoca was defeated by the Serbian team Red Star Belgrade, with a score of 97-85 (26-30, 15-16, 37-19, 19-20), on Sunday evening, at BTarena in Cluj-Napoca, in the debut of the Top 8 phase of the ABA League men's basketball competition.

The main scorers of the match were Molinar 25 points, Russell 14, Woodbury 11, for U BT Cluj, and Miller-McIntyre 27, Butler 13, Ojeleye 11, for Red Star Belgrade.

U-BT will play their next match on March 14, in Podgorica, against Buducnost VOLI.
