The North American professional basketball league (NBA) returns this week to the major Chinese market with two preseason games, after a six-year absence due to a Twitter message from a club official expressing support for pro-democracy protests in Hong Kong.

The first two games, between the Brooklyn Nets and the Phoenix Suns, will take place on Friday and Sunday at the Venetian Arena in Macau.
