Romania U21 ended their participation in the European Under-21 Football Championship without a win, losing 1-2 to Slovakia. In Group A, the team also lost their previous matches against Italy (0-1) and Spain (1-2). Coach Daniel Pancu emphasized the difficulty of the schedule, with three matches in six days, and admitted that the team failed to exceed expectations. Romania's best result at the tournament was the semi-final in 2019.
