The Romanian women's national handball team concluded the World Championship with a convincing victory against Switzerland, score 36:24. This victory secures the 'tricolore' a 9th place in the competition, the best ranking in the last decade, since the bronze medals obtained in 2015 in Denmark. Although the Romanian women had no chance of advancing to the quarter-finals after the defeat against Hungary, they managed to overcome the disappointment and finish the competition with their heads held high. After a clear victory against Senegal, Romania demonstrated solid play and ranked among the top 10 teams at the tournament hosted by Germany and the Netherlands.
