Former tennis player Roger Federer lost his billionaire status in a single day after the shares of the company On Holding, in which he owns approximately 2.5%, plummeted by 19%.
This decline led to a decrease in his net worth to 952.4 million dollars, according to Forbes, thus losing at least 52 million dollars. On Holding reported net sales of 850.4 million francs for the second quarter, a 13% increase, but below expectations of 878.4 million francs. Although the company recorded a net profit of 105 million francs, the gross profit margin increased to 65.4%, which led to an increase in estimates for the entire year.
Federer, who retired in 2022, earned approximately 131 million dollars in prize money during his 24-year career, and his sponsorship contracts and stake in On Holding propelled him to billionaire status in 2025.
