Rapid Bucharest played a friendly match in Slovenia, which ended 2-2 against Azerbaijani team Sabah Baku, who finished 5th in the previous championship. Rapid opened the scoring through Koljc in the 15th minute, but the Azeris equalized before half-time. Hazrollaj scored for 2-1 in the 61st minute, but the match ended in a draw. Coach Costel Galcă used a varied starting line-up and several players were changed during the match.
