PSG will face the winner of the match between Flamengo, the Brazilian team that defeated Cruz Azul 2-1 in the semifinals, and Pyramids FC, the Egyptian team that recently won its first Africa Champions League. Flamengo secured victory thanks to a double from Giorgian De Arrascaeta. Pyramids previously defeated Al-Ahli 3-1 in the first stage of the competition. The tournament format is limited, so as not to affect the Club World Cup, which will take place once every four years.
