Pogacar wins the fifth Tour de France!

Tadej Pogacar won the Tour de France 2026 on Sunday, achieving his fifth overall victory, thus equaling the all-time record in just seven years at the most prestigious cycling race.

He now enters an extremely select club, consisting of only five cyclists who have won the Tour de France five times.

The others are Jacques Anquetil (France), Eddy Merckx (Belgium), Bernard Hinault (France), and Miguel Indurain (Spain).

In second place in the overall ranking was Belgian Remco Evenepoel (Red Bull-Bora Hansgrohe), and in third place was Mexican Isaac Del Toro (UAE Emirates-XRG). For the first time since 2014 and the third time in the 21st century, two Frenchmen are in the top 5: Paul Seixas (Decathlon CMA CGM), in 4th place, and Lenny Martinez (Bahrain Victorious), in 5th place.
