Olga Danilovic, ranked 68th in the WTA, achieved a remarkable victory against the legendary Venus Williams in a match lasting two hours and 19 minutes. Venus started strong, winning the first set in a tie-break 7-5. However, Danilovic took control in the second set, closing it quickly at 6-3. In the deciding set, Williams led 4-0, but Danilovic made an impressive comeback, winning four consecutive games. The turning point came in the ninth game, where Danilovic capitalized on a break point, taking the lead and finishing the match after an error from Williams. In the end, Danilovic highlighted the intense emotions and the pleasure of playing against a legend. In the next round, the Serbian could face Coco Gauff if she wins her match.
