Oklahoma City Thunder has once again demonstrated control in key moments, defeating the Los Angeles Lakers 115-110 in the NBA playoffs.
With less than a minute remaining, the Lakers managed a 7-0 run and took the lead, 110-109. The Thunder's response came quickly, with team leader Shai Gilgeous-Alexander orchestrating the final attack and putting the team back in front with 32.8 seconds left. Gilgeous-Alexander finished the game with 35 points and 8 assists, while young Ajay Mitchell added 28 points. Although Austin Reaves was the leading scorer for the Lakers with 27 points, LeBron James had a notable performance with 24 points and 12 rebounds, in what could be his last appearance in the NBA.
Oklahoma City Thunder continues its impressive playoff run, being only the fourth defending champion to win the first eight playoff games. In the Western Conference Finals, the Thunder will face the winner of the series between the Minnesota Timberwolves and the San Antonio Spurs.
