Neymar, the 33-year-old Brazilian football player, traveled to Belo Horizonte to undergo an arthroscopic surgical procedure on his left knee. The operation will be performed by the national team's doctor, Rodrigo Lasmar, who previously operated on Neymar's metatarsals. This procedure aims to alleviate a meniscus injury sustained during recent matches in the Brazilian Serie A.
Despite having pain, Neymar managed to contribute to saving the Santos team, scoring 5 goals and providing a decisive assist in the last four matches. After the surgery, he will need rest and will not be able to return to the field until the beginning of February. His contract with Santos expires on December 31, but Neymar is expected to sign a six-month extension.
