Navarro achieved a significant victory against former world leader Swiatek, after a match lasting two hours and thirty minutes, finished in three sets. In the deciding set, Navarro completely dominated, winning without dropping a single game. This is an important victory for Navarro, shortly after she won her first WTA 500 title in Mexico. In the quarter-finals, she will play against the winner between Pegula and Kostyuk. Swiatek, on the other hand, recently expressed dissatisfaction with the busy schedule of the WTA circuit.
