Nadia Comăneci was celebrated on Sunday morning at the Polyvalent Hall in Onești, which bears her name. The event was marked by applause and cheers from those present, including champions and officials.


The First Lady of Romania, Mirabela Grădinaru, attended the event alongside the two children of the presidential family.


Nadia arrived dressed in a white tracksuit with the symbols of Romania, accompanied by her husband, Bart Conner. President Nicușor Dan decorated Nadia Comăneci with the National Order 'Steaua României' in the rank of Grand Cross, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the 1976 Montreal Olympic Games.


The Presidential Administration paid tribute to the personalities who contributed to the prestige of Romanian sports, highlighting the dedication and exceptional professionalism of Nadia Comăneci.
