This victory is historic for Morocco, being the first time they win this trophy and the second title for Africa in the U20 competition, after Ghana's success in 2009. Morocco continues to shine on the international stage, after the national team finished fourth at the 2022 World Cup and won the bronze medal at the Paris Olympic Games.
