Sorana Cîrstea, ranked 18th in the WTA and seeded 18, was defeated on Tuesday in the quarterfinals of the Grand Slam tournament at Roland-Garros. Cîrstea, at the age of 36, was beaten by the 8th seed, Russian Mirra Andreeva, with a score of 6-0, 6-3.

By reaching the quarterfinals at Roland-Garros, Sorana Cîrstea secured a prize of 470,000 euros and 430 points.
