Liverpool FC has issued an official statement expressing shock and disgust at the racist abuse directed at player Ibrahima Konate. The club emphasized that this behavior is completely unacceptable and that racism has no place in football or in society.

Club representatives criticized the lack of response from digital platforms, mentioning that the constant abuse from anonymous accounts affects the image of football. Liverpool FC has called for a coordinated response across the entire football phenomenon, emphasizing that simple condemnations are not enough.

Club officials are urging social media companies to take responsibility and take action to combat this phenomenon. Liverpool will continue to support Ibrahima Konate and will work with authorities to identify those responsible, stressing that the burden cannot fall on the shoulders of players and clubs.

Additionally, it is mentioned that the current situation must be urgently confronted and eradicated. Ibrahima Konate, a regular starter in the team, has a contract that expires in June, and recent rumors link him to a possible transfer to Real Madrid.
