UEFA has banned the matches Liverpool - Real Madrid and Inter - Arsenal in the Champions League

Before the draw for the matches in the main phase of the Champions League, UEFA announced that two matches, Liverpool - Real Madrid and Inter - Arsenal, will not be able to take place with Liverpool and Inter as the home teams. This change is the result of a recent UEFA rule, applicable starting this season, which allows the hosts to be changed in the case of these confrontations. The draw will take place on Thursday evening at 19:00, and the last four qualified teams will be known after the play-off matches, scheduled for 22:00.

Liverpool and Real Madrid recently met on the English team's ground, and Inter played at home against Arsenal in the last editions of the competition. In the 2024-2025 season, Liverpool won both confrontations with Real Madrid at home, while Inter and Arsenal split the victories in their previous duels.
