The University of Craiova team lost on Wednesday evening, away, by a score of 0-1, in the first leg against the Bulgarian team Levski Sofia, in the second preliminary round of the Champions League. The only goal of the match was scored by Levski Sofia in the 8th minute, by Dimitrov.

"We lost, it's a bad result, but we need to look at our game because we had good moments today. Of course, we will analyze, we still have things to improve. Overall, I believe we played a good game, we had our chances. In the end, we are left with the feeling that we can qualify further after a double against a very good team. They are the champions of Bulgaria, they have good players, they invest a lot, but I believe it is possible that together with our supporters we can move forward," said Coelho on Digisport.

The second leg will take place in Craiova, on July 29.

The winner of this double will play in the third preliminary round of the Champions League against the winner between Omonia Nicosia and Kairat Almaty (1-0 in the first leg), while the loser will play in the third preliminary round of the Europa League against the winner between the Azerbaijani team Sabah FC and the Finnish team KuPS Kuopio (1-0 in the first leg).
