Italian driver Kimi Antonelli, representing the Mercedes team, secured pole position for the Miami Grand Prix, the fourth round of the Formula 1 season, after an excellent performance in qualifying at the Miami International Autodrome. Antonelli, the leader of the World Championship, achieved his third consecutive pole position, outpacing four-time world champion Max Verstappen (Red Bull) and Charles Leclerc (Ferrari). Despite having a disappointing sprint race, finishing in fourth place and being demoted to sixth due to a penalty, the Italian driver managed to quickly recover. His teammate, George Russell, will start from fifth place, behind Lando Norris (McLaren), the winner of the sprint race. Verstappen surprised by taking second place, considering he failed to reach Q3 at the last GP in Japan. Lewis Hamilton (Ferrari) finished sixth, and the top 10 was completed by other notable drivers. The Miami race is scheduled for Sunday evening, with a change in the start time due to weather.
