Jos Verstappen went through a worrying incident during the Walloon Rally, held in Belgium. In the first special stage of the day, the father of four-time Formula 1 world champion Max Verstappen went off the track in a winding area. The rear of the Skoda Fabia Rally2 hit a tree, and the vehicle lost control, overturning onto its roof. Fortunately, both Jos Verstappen and his co-driver, Jasper Vermeulen, escaped without injuries.
This is not the first incident of this kind for Jos Verstappen, who had a similar experience in 2024 when he hit a tree and abandoned the race. At 54 years old, Jos has had a career of nearly a decade in Formula 1, participating in 107 races and achieving two podiums, with his best result being 10th place in the 1994 World Championship.
