Goalkeeper Jesus Owono will learn his disciplinary sanction next week following the violent collision with striker Jesus de Miguel, which occurred on Monday, during the Tenerife-FC Andorra match. The Spanish footballer died the following day, and the game was stopped at 2-2.

The disciplinary committee postponed the decision out of respect for Jesus de Miguel's family, whose funeral took place on Thursday. Neither of the two teams played this weekend, so there was no pressure for an immediate sanction. Meanwhile, the professional competitions referee decided that the match would be officially recorded as a 2-2 draw.

Owono was shown a straight red card in the 96th minute after leaving his own penalty area to stop a counterattack. During the challenge, his right knee struck de Miguel head-on, who was in the center circle area.

According to the Spanish press, the committee will examine the case under Article 102 of the Disciplinary Code, which provides for a suspension of between four and 12 matches for violent actions resulting in serious consequences. The sanction is expected to be between eight and 12 matches.
