Jaqueline Cristian, the highest-ranked tennis player in Romania, continues to impress at the women's tournament in Tokyo, where she qualified for the second round. After a semifinal in Osaka, Cristian faced Alina Charaeva and won 6-2, 6-3, in a match lasting 95 minutes.

In the next round, Jaqueline will play against the Russian Ekaterina Aleksandrova, the 3rd seed of the tournament and ranked 10th in the world, in a match they have not played before.
