Sorana Cîrstea qualified for the second round at the US Open!

Sorana Cîrstea, a Romanian tennis player, ranked 17th in the WTA and seeded 16th, has managed to qualify for the second round of the US Open, the last grand slam of the year.

In the opening round, Cîrstea faced Austrian Julia Grabher, ranked 114th in the WTA, winning the match with a conclusive score of 6-3, 6-0, after one hour and 29 minutes of play. In the second round, Sorana will meet French player Diane Parry, ranked 31st in the WTA, in a matchup that will be the first between the two players on the professional circuit.
