Haiti will join the competition for its second World Cup, scheduled for the summer of 2026 in the United States, Mexico, and Canada. However, Haitian supporters will not be able to attend matches on American soil, as the Trump administration has confirmed that they will not be authorized to enter the U.S.
In June, President Donald Trump approved a law that prohibits access to citizens from 19 countries, including Haiti. Only the players of the national team, their families, and delegation members will be allowed to remain in the U.S. under the exception for major sporting events. Thus, Haitian fans will not be able to support their team, similar to the situation of Iranian supporters. Haiti will participate in the World Cup for the first time since 1974, when it played in West Germany.
