The International Football Federation (FIFA) has asked the Haitian national team to change their jersey one day before the start of the 2026 World Cup, citing possible political interpretations of the graphic elements included in the design. The original model of the kit contained historical symbols related to Haiti's independence, such as representations of the Battle of Vertières and traditional cultural motifs.

Saeta, the equipment supplier, confirmed that the changes were implemented to comply with FIFA regulations, emphasizing that the jersey was created to celebrate the pride and spirit of the Haitian people, not to make a political statement. Haiti will return to the World Cup after a 52-year absence, with matches scheduled against Scotland, Brazil, and Morocco.
