Former world No. 3 Grigor Dimitrov has announced that he will not play in the US Open, scheduled from August 24 to September 7. The Bulgarian, ranked 21st in the world, has not played since his last-eight exit at Wimbledon, where he led two sets to nil against Jannik Sinner but was forced to withdraw due to a right shoulder injury. Dimitrov's withdrawal allows Chile's Alejandro Tabilo to enter the tournament's main draw.
