FIFA President, Gianni Infantino, is accused of violating political neutrality rules after awarding the FIFA Peace Prize to Donald Trump during the draw for the World Cup.

The FairSquare group sent an official letter to FIFA's ethics committee, highlighting the favorable comments made by Gianni Infantino regarding Donald Trump, including an Instagram post in which he stated that Trump "definitely deserves" the Nobel Peace Prize. Infantino stated, during the ceremony, that Trump "deserves" the FIFA Peace Prize, which the group considers a violation of FIFA's obligation of neutrality.

It is also mentioned that the decision to introduce such a prize should have been approved by the FIFA Council, not unilaterally taken by the president.
