Germany debuted with a victory at the World Cup, defeating Curacao 7-1 in a match held in Houston.

The goals for Germany were scored by Felix Nmecha, Nico Schlotterbeck, Kai Havertz (two, including a penalty), Jamal Musiala, Nathaniel Brown, and Deniz Undav, while Livano Comenencia scored the consolation goal for Curacao.

This victory allowed Germany to become the team with the most goals scored in World Cup history, reaching a total of 239 goals, surpassing Brazil, which has 238.
