With a month to go before the start of the World Cup, FIFA has presented a new protocol that will be followed before matches. According to this, all players, both starters and substitutes, will gather around the center circle to sing the national anthem, thus promoting unity and the emotion of representing the national team.
This change comes in the context of FIFA's efforts to transform the matches of the competition, which will take place between June 11 and July 19 in the United States, Mexico, and Canada. Additionally, huge banners with the teams' flags will be displayed on the field, and FIFA President Gianni Infantino emphasized the importance of this moment of pride and unity for players and spectators. The protocol may undergo changes during the competition, depending on the feedback received.
