FIFA has announced a partnership with TikTok to enhance coverage of the 2026 World Cup, aiming for better integration of the platform into the event. The agreement will allow TikTok to provide more comprehensive coverage, including original content and to become a central hub for fans and creators during the tournament. The previous collaboration between the two organizations at the 2023 Women's World Cup generated tens of billions of views on TikTok.
As part of this new partnership, TikTok will have the opportunity to livestream certain parts of the matches and publish selected clips, having access to content created specifically by FIFA for the platform. Additionally, FIFA will launch a creator program, offering exclusive behind-the-scenes access for a select group of TikTok creators, including to press conferences and training sessions.
