FC Barcelona has decided to offer Ferran Torres a new contract, maintaining his current salary.
If the player is not satisfied with this offer, he can be transferred to another team that will pay the sum of 55 million euros.
Torres, known for his contribution to Spain's World Cup victory, could thus leave the Catalan club.
At the same time, Barcelona is focusing its efforts on the transfer of Julian Alvarez from Atletico Madrid, considering that they are willing to pay 150 million euros to bring him in. This amount would make Alvarez the most expensive transfer in the club's history, surpassing the current record held by Ousmane Dembele, who was purchased for 148 million euros.
Alvarez had an impressive season at Atletico, with 20 goals and 9 assists in 49 matches. Barcelona is in competition with Arsenal for the Argentine's signature.
