Chess player Felix Ilinca becomes an international grandmaster at just 16 years old, announced on Monday, the Romanian Chess Federation.

In his case, four norms were necessary to reach the minimum threshold of 27 games, but the victory of obtaining this title is all the sweeter.

We congratulate Felix for this achievement, but also Ivan Sokolov, the coach who has been by his side on this journey.

After the official recognition of the title by FIDE, Felix will receive the scholarship offered by the Dragic Foundation, as part of the "Chess Nest" program.
