FCSB received a favorable ruling in court, in the case where CSA Steaua is seeking damages of 37 million euros for the use of the name and the brand "Steaua" between 2003 and 2017. The Bucharest Tribunal decided that the financial evaluation on which CSA's request was based will no longer be taken into account. Gigi Becali, the owner of FCSB, stated that the damage no longer exists, as CSA did not request a legal expertise, and the judge did not accept the expertise presented by them. Becali emphasized that he has invested in football and that the real damage is on his side. On the other hand, the lawyer of CSA Steaua, Florin Talpan, stated that he is not worried about the decision and that he will wait for the end of the process to assess the outcome. Talpan criticized the delays and suspensions requested by FCSB, suggesting that they raise questions about the defense.
