The red-blues have confirmed the departure of Malcom Edjouma (29 years old) after the midfielder refused the contract extension offer. Mihai Stoica, the president of the Board of Directors, stated that Edjouma will no longer remain at the club and will become a free agent starting January 1.

"Edjouma will not continue. I understood I was wrong. I explained to him that the owner keeps his word. He was surprised, he said he wanted to stay. I offered him the contract extension under exactly the same conditions, the contract that ends on December 30 would have ended on June 30 and then he did not sign anymore.

I even asked someone to ask him what it was about, because we cannot hold the offer until he looks for teams. And he understood that we could discuss this contract.

I said fine, we will discuss if you sign today or not. As midnight approached, he said he would like to discuss. We shook hands through an intermediary and he is a free player," Mihai Stoica stated for Prima Sport
