Emma Raducanu, the British number one player, has decided to postpone the start of the clay season due to a viral illness, according to her representatives. Although she was scheduled to participate in the Linz Open in Austria next week, Raducanu has withdrawn her name from the WTA 500 competition list.

At the age of 23, she wants to focus on a full recovery before returning to competition on clay courts. Raducanu began to feel unwell during the tournament in the Middle East in February and, although she competed in Indian Wells last month, she decided not to participate in the tournament in Miami.
