Elias Charalambous has been officially presented as the new coach of Levadiakos. The 45-year-old Cypriot technician signed a contract valid for the next two years. This appointment has a special significance, as Charalambous played for Levadiakos during his football career. The club announced that his return is important, considering his connection with the team. Charalambous has been a free agent since March, after winning two consecutive titles in the SuperLiga with FCSB. He also had a remarkable career as a player, having 69 caps for the Cyprus national team.
Levadiakos initially had Edi Iordănescu on their list as well, but turned to Charalambous after Iordănescu declined the offer. Charalambous's objective will be to keep the team in the upper part of the standings in the Greek championship.
