These incidents have generated anger within the Egyptian team, and coach Hossam Hassan stated that the match was unfair, suggesting that the outcome could have been influenced by external interests.

Forward Zico claimed that the officiating was biased, and the federation's management has requested the suspension of Letexier and his assistants for the remainder of the competition, believing that their errors decided the fate of the match.
