The world champion in swimming for the 100 and 200m freestyle revealed on Tuesday evening that he has not received his financial rewards for the performances in 2025 and 2024. Bogdan Matei, the president of ANS, responded specifically to David Popovici.
Bogdan Matei mentioned that there is an ongoing audit by the Court of Accounts at ANS, and therefore the institution could not offer prizes for this year. As for 2024, Matei stated that he does not know what happened, as he was not in office at that time.
