The FCSB football team announced on Tuesday the transfer of captain Darius Olaru to Royale Union Saint-Gilloise, the vice-champions of Belgium. Olaru, at the age of 28, spent six and a half years at FCSB, where he played 257 matches, winning two championship titles, one Romanian Cup, and two Romanian Supercups, scoring 63 goals and providing 41 assists. The club thanked Olaru for his loyalty and dedication.
The player signed a contract valid until the summer of 2030 and expressed his excitement for the new adventure, mentioning that he looks forward to meeting his teammates and contributing to the team's success. Olaru previously played for Gaz Metan Mediaș.
