The EHF announced on Monday the list of clubs confirmed for participation in the 2026-2027 season of the Champions League. In the women's category, the vice-champion CSM Bucharest obtained the requested spot through an upgrade, joining the champion Gloria Bistrita, which had a guaranteed spot.
In the women's competition, 16 teams will participate. The playing system will remain unchanged, with two groups of eight teams each.
The 16 teams: HC Podravka, Team Esbjerg, Brest Bretagne Handball, Metz Handball, HSG Blomberg-Lippe, Györi Audi ETO KC, OTP Group Budućnost, Storhamar Handball Elite, Gloria Bistrita and RK Krim OTP Group Mercator (guaranteed spot), respectively Odense Handbold, Nykøbing Falster Handbold, BV Borussia Dortmund, FTC, Sola Handballklubb and CSM Bucharest (upgrade).
The draw for the groups, for both women and men, will take place on Friday at 12:00 in Vienna. The matches will start on September 5/6.
